Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and how long we keep it. In short: what an order needs, and nothing we have
no use for.

What we collect

• To fulfil an order: name, delivery address, phone number and email address.
• For a gift sent to someone else: the recipient’s name, address and phone number. We use
  these to deliver and for nothing else, and we do not add a recipient to any list.
• To take payment: the UPI transaction reference. We never see or store card details, because
  we do not accept cards.
• When you write in: whatever you send us, including photographs of a damaged carton and the
  initial you choose for a personalised item.
• Automatically: standard web server logs and cookies needed to keep a cart and a session
  working.

Why we hold it

To pack and deliver an order, to confirm a personalised letter with you, to answer questions, and to process
returns and refunds. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell or rent personal information to
anyone.

Who else sees it

Only those who have to: the courier that carries the parcel, which needs the delivery name, address and phone
number; the UPI payment infrastructure, which handles the transaction; and our web hosting provider, which stores
the site. Each sees the minimum needed to do its part.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for the period Indian law requires. Correspondence that is no longer needed is
deleted. If you want your details removed and there is no legal requirement to keep them, write to
connect@handmadegiftstore.shop and we will do it.

Cookies

This site uses cookies to keep your cart and session working. Blocking them in your browser will break the
checkout, but you are free to do so. We do not use advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to
connect@handmadegiftstore.shop from the address used on the order and we will respond within
1 business day on working days.

Tax

Not registered for GST — a small online retailer whose turnover stays under the applicable
registration threshold in India. GST is not charged separately and no GST tax invoice with a registration number
is issued. The listed price is the amount payable.
